After being in this business for over 17 years and in the furniture business for now over 35 years. I have learned that the manufactures have always been behind the curve. They react very slowly to the customers needs. The retailer on the other hand always wants what the customer is seeking . When we first set out to specialize in selling bar stools we found it very challanging to have in stock what every customer wanted when we had the right stlye stool the customer need counter height and the reverse was also true. We tried to stock both heights than the finish was wrong . It seemed like a no win situation along came the great Idea of using a gas lift which would adjust with ease . Wow now we had knocked the error rate in half now all we had to worry about was fabric ,finish,style,comfort,price we were cooking with gas now. Our customer love them also because now if they move they can take their bar stools with them it will adjust to their new home. Families with childern love them because now the kids can sit as heigh as the adults. The hydraulic bar stool has become a win win for all involed. Now that is progress when all parties win.
