Well folks I am getting on my soap box. When we were a rural nation shop keepers were not easy to find that is what started Montgomery Wards , Sears the catalog business. The internet has evolved much in the same way. If you can't find a local retailer that carries bar stools I get it . Now comes the part when you find a small business owner that has a display and selection like we do. Over 200 bar stools in every style under the sun, why would you than shop to get that very same bar stool from an out of state suppliers to save paying sales tax ? This really bugs me how short sighted people have become. First we do not charge sales tax we collect it . This revenue is used to fund our schools, roads, police, fire departments, government building and yes our political leaders. Do not you realize this? Every time you purchase to not pay sales tax it hurts our community. We also have people that say I saw it on the internet and it was $5 cheaper, I love this one . My answer is yes ,but don't you realize you have to put that together and the one I am showing you has been assembled and inspected for you. When they say I would rather save the $5 , I say fine I won't put yours together and save you the $5. Listen we all are trying to make it through this very tough economy but beating up the local merchant is not going to help any of us. All too often consumers believe that retailers are making too much on their hard earned income. This is laughable in today's age small retailers are dropping like flies . They have no advocates in government The Small business Association is really the Big business Association. I ask you to support all you local business because if we don't we all will suffer. Shop and buy locally. I have included a review from an Internet site which we have to compete with" I thought the stools were a terrific value, however not sure they will last. There was a crack in the back of the top/seat.The assembly was difficult because wooden 'dollies' simply didn't fit properly in the holes. I put them together but they don't seem secure, not sure they will last. I must say when I called and mentioned that seat was cracked, I was sent a replacement immediately. I was very tempted to simply return the items entirely, but I had already put together and decided to keep. Something tells me I will be looking for new stools in a couple of months". These are stools which we sell for the same exact price ,however this person would have never had to put them together and we would have seen the crack and returned it to the supplier before any customer would have received . This is why you should buy locally Thanks Stool Crazy .
